Furman YDSA is Furman’s chapter of the Young Democratic Socialists of America, the student section of the Democratic Socialists of America. We are helping to build a democratic movement to win political power for the multiracial working class and end plutocracy, racial and gender oppression, imperialism, environmental destruction, and ultimately, capitalism itself. It’s no easy task, which is why we hope you’ll join us!

We believe the working class is the revolutionary subject of history, with the unique power to end its own
domination by the capitalist class and ultimately abolish class society itself. It is the mission of the socialist
movement to agitate, educate, and organize the class towards this end, and it is the mission of Furman YDSA to
play whatever useful role we can in that process.
